Bangladesh secured their spot in the tournament by winning all seven matches in the qualifiers, making them undefeated and confident. This edition marks the first time that 12 teams compete in the Women’s T20 World Cup, divided into two groups, facing off in a total of 33 matches. The tournament kicks off on June 12 and runs for 24 days, culminating in the final at Lord’s Cricket Ground on July 5.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the complete schedule for the Women’s T20 World Cup on Tuesday. Bangladesh is placed in Group A, where they will face strong opponents including the Netherlands, Australia, South Africa, India, and Pakistan. Group B features New Zealand, England, the West Indies, Sri Lanka, Ireland, and Scotland. The matches will be held across seven historic and modern venues: Lord’s in London, Old Trafford in Manchester, Headingley in Leeds, Edgbaston in Birmingham, Hampshire Bowl in Southampton, The Oval in London, and Bristol.

Bangladesh’s first match is scheduled for June 14 against the Netherlands at Edgbaston, starting at 10:30 AM. Following this, they will face India and Pakistan at the same venue. On June 17, they will play against Australia in Headingley. Three days later, they will face Pakistan at Hampshire Bowl. After a five-day break, Bangladesh will meet India at Old Trafford. Their final group match will be against South Africa at Lord’s on June 28. Since their participation in the tournament, Bangladesh has played 25 matches across six World Cups from 2014 to 2024, winning three. This year presents a significant challenge for Bangladesh to showcase their talent on the world stage and make a mark in the prestigious tournament.
